Part. 1:

There is much to be learned from the world’s “master of suggestion” having risen to the top of his game and able to expertly manage his own emotions and human vagaries, Kevin Stone, the globally-known, central figure and sole figure on hypnotist.com. With a multitude of appearances on major TV networks and features in prominent magazines, Kevin's expertise in cognitive influence has garnered global recognition for helping over a million people address issues ranging from smoking cessation to weight loss and stress management.

Have you ever wondered what cognitive influence truly entails? Is it the eerie portrayal seen in movies and television, or is there more to this ancient practice? According to Kevin Stone, cognitive influence is a natural, organic process that we all experience throughout the day. Whether it's daydreaming during a class or losing track of time while driving, these moments are all forms of self-mind coaching.

"We go in and out of it about a thousand times a day. It's our natural state." - Kevin Stone

Cary Harrison opens the floor to Kevin, who illustrates how cognitive influence isn't about controlling someone's mind but rather creating an environment conducive to focused thought. Kevin explains that by harnessing this natural process, one can reprogram behaviors and achieve long-term benefits, such as permanent weight loss or smoking cessation.

> "Your brain is a computer system. And once you program that computer... it's going to do [what you tell it to do]." - Kevin Stone

The conversation takes a lighter turn as Cary shares his experiences witnessing hypnotists on cruise ships, making people "cluck like chickens." Kevin addresses these myths head-on, clarifying that much of what we believe about cognitive influence (hypnotism) is a result of media sensationalism. In reality, cognitive influence has a broader application and is more nuanced than the clichés we are accustomed to.

Kevin then engages Cary and the audience in a simple demonstration of suggestibility, where Cary observes his own fingers moving together involuntarily. This exercise showcases the profound impact cognitive influence can have by tapping into the subconscious mind, which accounts for 88% of our brain's capacity.

> "Your subconscious mind... that's where all information is stored. Once I understood how to access that... I'm able to give a direct suggestion." - Kevin Stone

One of the significant benefits of cognitive influence is its ability to help manage stress and overcome addictions. Kevin mentions that many of his clients, including high-profile celebrities, struggle with various forms of addiction, from smoking to unhealthy eating habits. Through mind coaching, these individuals can reprogram their behaviors and lead healthier lives.

> "All behavior is learned behavior... the good news is you can change your behavior, and mind coaching is the number one tool to do that."

Kevin emphasizes the importance of self-mind coaching, a skill that can be learned and practiced to foster positive changes. Unlike meditation or yoga, self-mind coaching involves controlling the environment to block out negative energies and focus solely on positive outcomes.

> "Mind coaching is about controlling the environment... to be positive suggestions instead of negativity."

As Cary Harrison wraps up the episode, he praises Mr. Stone for his dedication to educating the public about the real science behind hypnotism and cognitive influence. With a user-friendly website, Hypnotist.com, Kevin provides a wealth of resources for those interested in exploring the benefits of mind coaching. His approach aims to demystify the process and empower individuals to positively harness the power of their minds.

> "Cognitive influence has the potential to change your life completely... so why not utilize it for your personal benefit?"

Part. 2:

Being True to Yourself

Jason Stuart's love for acting was inspired by Barbra Streisand's iconic role in "Funny Girl." This motivation led Stuart to pursue a career that would challenge stereotypes and reflect his personal struggles. From roles in "The Birth of a Nation" to the series "Smothered," Stuart has left an indelible mark on the industry, navigating a path as a gay Hollywood actor. His story exemplifies finding inner strength and persevering against the odds.

Breaking Stereotypes

When asked to share a defining moment that shaped his career, Stuart reflects on his role in "The Birth of a Nation" in 2015. Cast as a white heterosexual Christian plantation owner in 1831, Stuart's performance pushed him to new creative heights. Working with Nate Parker and other extraordinary actors for three weeks profoundly changed his self-image and what he thought was possible.

Showing up For Yourself

Stuart's journey as a gay actor in Hollywood has been fraught with challenges. In the early 80s, he faced systemic discrimination and a lack of representation. Despite these obstacles, Stuart continued to show up, auditioning for roles and proving himself time and again. He recalls experiences where industry professionals advised him to be more masculine, yet supportive figures like casting director Jackie Birch offered encouragement and opportunities.

Pioneering Change

Sometimes we never know when we're going to help thousands of others through a simple act of bravery. Jason Stuart came out publicly in 1993 on "The Geraldo Rivera Show," a bold move that transformed his career. Despite fears and warnings from peers, this decision empowered Stuart and established him as a significant figure in comedy and acting. His resilience and commitment to his identity has served as an inspiration for many.

The Importance of Support and Mentorship

We highlight the critical role of a support system, including friends, mentors, and therapy. Stuart emphasizes the importance of showing up for others and creating your own opportunities. Through his series "Smothered," Stuart explores themes of long-term relationships and personal growth. This work has earned him numerous accolades, including several Indie Series Award nominations.

Cary Harrison addresses the reality where ageism and appearance often play significant roles in career opportunities. Stuart shares his perspective on maintaining integrity, creating meaningful work, and supporting others in the industry. He advocates for mental health resources and a strong community to navigate the challenges of aging in a visually driven industry.

Jason Stuart's diverse roles and unwavering commitment to authenticity have made him a trailblazer in Hollywood. His story of resilience, mentorship, and continuous learning offers valuable lessons for anyone facing rejection or seeking to reinvent their life. Stuart's journey reminds us that success is not just about individual talent but also about supporting others and fostering a community that uplifts everyone.
